Kazakhstan, Asian Development Bank ratified agreement

ASTANA. June 18. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Senate of the Kazakh Parliament approved Law “On ratification of the Agreement on lending (Usual operations), (CAREC 1 Transport corridor (Zhambyl region plats) (International transit corridor “Western Europe-Western China”), Investment Program – Project 1) between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Asian Development Bank”; Kazinform correspondent reports.
The given Agreement was signed on March, 30, 2009 in Astana. The implementation of the project to provide development of the transport potential of the country, promote intensiveness of the auto mobile traffic along the Kazakhstan part of the international corridor as well as promote the growth of transit cargo for the increase of the state budget. The transit will also cause a multiplicative effect.

The lending amounted to USD 340 mln with debt schedule – 25 years. The project to be completed up to December, 31, 2013.
